PRAYER AND DECLARATIONS FOR 2024

It’s December 2023 and I must admit that, so much has happened thus far, not only in my life but also in my family. I know it has been more than a year since I posted a blog post on this and I want to appreciate many of you who still showed up from time to time on the blog. Thank you because this gesture encouraged to write even though I never posted any on the blog. I know your aim of checking on the blog is to find new updates which weren’t available. To tell you the truth, between March 2022, that I lastly posted up to this year 2023, I have had to deal with several challenges. Some of those challenges left me depressed for some time, I struggled anxiety and my mental health wasn’t so good. Just when I started praying every day at midnight and finding strength in God, I lost my elder brother suddenly in August 2023 and this has left me very confused about life. It is commonly said that “life is not a bed of roses” it’s not a lie but with the help of the Holy Spirit we have strength to pass through different seasons of life. No matter what life has thrown at us in this year 2023, we have hope; our hope in Christ Jesus. It is written in Romans 12:12 that we should “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” And though it is not easy to rejoice when you are faced with challenges, the Holy Spirit alone is your strength, so keep praying. Our God is faithful and summons us to come before His throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). When I was down Jesus lifted me up, when I felt like nothing good could come out of my life, He gave me a new song to sing. This is just the beginning of the year and I believe I was lots of blog posts about prayer given that it has been my game-changer in recent times. The Holy Spirit just dropped a word in my spirit that it doesn’t mean prayer has taken the place of studying the Bible and other things we do as believers to grow in our walk with God. Not only does prayer change situations, it also changes a lot about the person who prays and builds a godly perspective the issues of life. As we step into year 2024, I pray for each one of us that our celebrations will be more than our challenges, our tests will become testimonies, and our shame will be changed to honour. This is my prayer for us as we enter 2024. PRAYER AND PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS Heavenly Father, we thank you for your life in us. We thank you for your loving kindness, your grace and multiplied mercies. We come before you today with hearts filled with gratitude; for you alone has brought us this far and we trust you alone to take us into 2024. We acknowledge that it hasn’t been by our might nor by our power but by your Spirit. From January to this month of December, you have been faithful; preserving us from all forms of negativity and guiding us with Your righteous Right Hand in all we do. From this day, as we step into the year 2024, may you order our steps in the direction of your purpose for our lives. May we always be at the right place at the right time and may our steps not slide. Father we thank You Lord in advance for the divine opportunities that will come our way in 2024 and for the Angels You have assigned to go before us in this New Year. Father, You are the good Shepherd. Take my hand and lead us through the days of 2024 (Proverbs 3:5-6). We pray oh Father that You make this new year a prosperous one for us. Let our efforts this year bring a bountiful harvest in the Name of Jesus Christ (Numbers 6:24-26). Heavenly Father, we ask that You would Anoint us with divine favor this year. May we always be the preferred and the chosen ones in situations that will cause us to advance in all areas of life. Father, may sorrow and weeping shall not be our portion this year and may all our days of 2024 be filled with divine peace and joy. Heavenly Father, that job, business, career, traveling and academic breakthrough that any one of us has been struggling to obtain, let it be our portion this year. Our names have been completely erased from the book of premature or sudden death and maintained in the book of the living in Jesus Gracious Name. Amen
