Apostle John wrote in 1 John 5: 18 (KJV) "We know that whosoever is
born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and
that wicked one toucheth him not". The Amplified Bible puts in a clearer
way 1 John 5:18 "We know (absolutely) that anyone born of God does not
(deliberately and knowingly) practice committing sin, but the One who was
begotten of God carefully watches over protects him (Christ's divine presence
within him preserves him against evil) and the wicked one does not lay hold
(get a grip) on him or touch (him). Now being new man in Christ, you're
described as being born of God. The Divine seed of God resides permanently
within you, that seed is Jesus Christ Himself. He has made you a partaker of
God's nature forever and as the verse says, God's nature does not practice sin
as a principle. It's important to note that in this epistle of John, he
constantly reminds us that we are of God and we thus now the Spirit of God.
"However, the believer may occasionally sin due to the inclinations of the
carnal mind. Nevertheless, the sin the believer commits does not affect the
indwelling nature of God for it is incorruptible (1 Peter 1:23). Even if the
believer may have practiced sin, the One within him who is the Begotten of God,
that is Christ Himself, is sinless and carefully watches over him to protect
him. This is good news! Jesus Christ, through His indwelling holds every
believer safe and secure inaccessible and inapproachable to any evil. The
believer's divine origin protects him with a constant security. You should be
confident this day and every other day of your life that you are kept and
preserved, safe and secure in Christ". Dr Shawn Smith.
It's amazing to know that our oneness with Christ is the same as
Christ's oneness with the Father; our rights and privileges are inalienable and
irrevocable. The Holy Spirit continues to preserve and sustain us with a
continual renewal of vitality and youthfulness (Psalm 110:3). As a believer in
Christ, you're located in a person, Jesus Christ and you're located in a
person, Jesus Christ and your oneness with Him is permanent. You are
irreversibly blessed in Christ; He was made a curse for your sake. The curse
has been completely reversed; you're free. You're now the seed of Abraham, an
heir of God, co-heirs with Christ. God cares for you affectionately and
personally. We have no unmet needs for all that is His is ours in Christ. You'
are always above all and all things are working together for your good. God is
for you and there is nothing r no one that can be against you not now, not
ever. Christ has averted calamity in your life and He will prevent you from
failing. The sacrifice of Jesus Christ has secured for you a life of
all-encompassing victory in every sphere of life. Rejoice because
you're blessed.
