David the Psalmist wrote in Psalm 23:6
"surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life;..He
further wrote in Psalm 33:5b "the earth is full of the goodness of the
Lord", reading this makes me rejoice because the goodness of God is in the
earth; everywhere we go we meet with God's goodness. Come to think of it, if
the earth is filled with God's goodness, then He has made your life beautiful.
The Glory of God in Hebrew is 'cabot' which means 'to be weighed down with
everything good'. Thus the goodness of God is heavy; heavy-weight goodness. As
sons of God, the weight of everything good must fill our lives because we're
heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ. Apostle Paul in Romans 2:4 "Or
despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering;
not knowing that the oodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?" God
forbears us because He loves us and this love is what brings us to repentance.
It is important to know that God's goodness is a bestowment, once it's bestowed
to you, it will never cease. It's always dispensed; no wonder the Psalmist
talked about God's goodness and mercy in our opening verse; for His mercies are
new each day for He is a faithful God (Lamentations 3:23). In the riches of
God's goodness, He will never do harm to you, he has no intention of evil or
harm being done against you. He loves you despite the offenses you may have
committed against Him, He will never let you go.
God's goodness also speaks of His
longsuffering; for He is always on the side of initiative to bring us to an
expected end. Because of God's goodness in your life, you'll never fail. It's
God's absolute will for everything to go well with us, that we may experience
prosperity in every sphere of our life as well as health and soundness (3 John
2). As sons of God, we should try as much as we can not to confuse what happens
in our personal lives to what God thinks of us. God's goodness never decays
neither does it deteriorates; it's forever new. Whatever you do or wherever you
go always remember God's goodness fills the earth and you'll never be in a
place of disadvantage. With lifted hands we declare "Heavenly father, in
the riches of Your goodness in our lives, You'll never let harm come to us. You
have no intention of evil or harm being done against us. You bear our offenses
and insults because You love us unconditionally. Father, we choose to celebrate
Your goodness in our lives." Amen
You're Blessed!
