I was
recently reading an article I wrote a few months ago, which was inspired by 2
Timothy 1:6-13. It still ministered greatly to me but I will like to share it
here in a deeper way as I was led by the Holy Spirit early this year. This 2018
is a special year and I believe it's time for us to recollect on so much and
take a stand on many things in our lives. As I have mentioned several times,
we're all called in the Calling of our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:18, 4:1,
Hebrews 3:1) and God foreordained us to belong to Him. He called you according
to His purpose and you may not be aware of what God called you to fulfill but
as you avail yourself to Him, He will use you greatly. Many of us desire to do
'great' things for God, if you're one of them i will like to let you know that
God had already chosen you before you chose Him.
We need
to stir ourselves up greatly in this calling we have received in Christ.
Because we are in Christ, we know God purposed us delightfully to do His will
(Ephesians 1:9, 11, 2 Thessalonians 2:14). Apostle Paul puts it in a better way
when he said God separated him from his mother's womb to live for God. Your
life does not begin when you were born, God knew and chose you before the
foundation of the world and chose you to be born in a time like this for His
purpose. What is expected of you is not what is expected of another and so we
have to seek guidance from the Holy Spirit. To continuously walk conscious of
that which God has called you to, you have to be consistent in fellowship with
God. You an do so through praying in tongues and in your understanding; you
pray first in tongues and the Holy Spirit will reveal to you what to say in
your understanding, give yourself to study the Bible, meditate on the message
of Christ and more. Praying in tongues is awesome; it builds you up
spiritually. Therefore, when you pray in tongues, you are supernaturally
stirring the power of God that is in your spirit by setting your spirit in
motion towards the things of God. It's very important to always remember that
everything you do to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ or making someone know
that God loves them; God is pleased and is with you. Never think what you're
doing is insignificant or small for what God calls great is not what man calls great.
Do not neglect the days of little beginnings and do not resist the promptings
of the Holy Spirit when He is leading you to minister to someone. What God has
ordained for your life will not come to pass without your active participation.
Brethren in Christ, I am writing to myself and to anyone out there who is
willing and ready to be stirred from within in that which God has called them
to do. We will commit ourselves to making the Gospel known and ministering the
Life of Christ people.
You may
tell yourself everyday that you don't know God has called you to do but
remember as a believer in Christ Jesus, your primary calling is to preach the
Gospel and make it known to all men. You have the mind of Christ (2 Corinthians
2:16) and it is God that is at work in us both to will to do of His good
pleasure. Make baby steps, as you are conscious of Christ dwelling in you, you
will be able to talk to someone about the love of God which is in Christ Jesus
our Savior. God has given us the inner witness to direct us in the affairs of Life,
that inward witness is the peace of Jesus Christ that settles every matter of
life (Colossians 3:15). When the inclination of your mind is focused on God, He
keeps you in peace. Jesus Christ the only begotten of God, became man
representing you and I in His humanity takes on every condition that is ours
and was crucified, He died and was buried. Three days and three nights in the
grave, He resurrected from among the dead still as you and I and now, making us
partakers of His Divine Life (1 Peter 1:4) We are seated with Christ in
Heavenly places far above principalities and powers. Nothing or no one can ever
separate us from the Love of God which is in Christ Jesus. God had already
taken paths ahead of time that you should walk in them before the foundation of
the world and He has made us more than more than conquerors. Let us make this
declaration of Faith together with hands lifted up in honor and adoration of
our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
