Some days ago, I came across a post on Facebook that I believe by divine
providence led me to the wall of a family whose son is battling a rare
disease. Immediately, the Holy Spirit led me to start speaking in
tongues for this kid and her family. I wrote a message to them but the
Spirit led me to go on speaking in tongues. The more I prayed the more
He was leading me to the teachings of the Minister of the Gospel Dr
Shawn Smith on 'Health Renewed in Christ'. In this teachings, he taught
on how important our bodily soundness is to God, for it is an earnest
of the Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14). It is revelation of our bodily
salvation. I will like to inform you that most of what will be shared in
this blog will be an extract of the teachings of Dr Shawn Smith on
'Health Renewed in Christ'. You're encouraged to pay attention and let
the Spirit of God reveal the fullness of His glory in your health. Isn't
it amazing that the Father wants the first blog of this year 2017, the
year of our Lord Jesus Christ to be the revelation of His glory in our
bodies; our health which is renewed and made whole in Christ.
Our bodily health is an integral part of our salvation in Christ. It's
important to note that we're saved from sickness, we're not healed from
sickness. In Romans 1:16, the Apostle Paul defines the gospel as the
power of God which exerts salvation. The root word for salvation is
/sozo/ gotten from /soteria/ which speaks of being preserved and
protected, kept whole, to be provided for etc. Thus to be saved is to be
healed. Our salvation is complete, it is health in your body, stability
and soundness in your mind, being fully provided in every realm of
life, and resting in the security that the saviour in whom you believe
is more than sufficient in His power to keep you secure for all time and
eternally. When Jesus was made incarnate, He bore our sickness and
infirmities. On the cross which was where His identification with and as
us was taken to its fullest extent, He died with our sins and thus our
sins died in His flesh. His death on the cross was our ultimate
deliverance from sickness ( a fulfillment of Isaiah 53).
The evidence of the importance of our bodies to God is that the Eternal
Son of God has assumed our humanity eternally. Job says in Job 33:23-25,
that your flesh shall be renewed, he is not just talking about the skin
but every internal organ. Our life is not derived from the flesh. We
cannot generate this life that we have in Christ on our own but we
acknowledge that we have received the Spirit of God who dwells in us.
The Holy Ghost who dwells in our bodies, who has sanctified our bodies
has made our bodies the abode of God and because of this, we belong to
Christ; we belong to God. Wholeness is the therapeutic effect of the
atonement (Romans 5:11, Romans 8:11). The atonement expresses what
happened on the cross when Jesus Christ died, was buried and
resurrected. When you're conscious of the substitionary death of Christ,
you become more conscious of who He has made you in His atoning
sacrifice. If there is a day you feel pain in your body or you're sick,
meditate on the life of Christ in you. Place your hands on yourself
right now and pray this prayer aloud;
Prayer
Gracious Father, my spirit, soul and body belong to you by virtue of the
price paid by Christ on the cross. I place myself in His death, He died
my death in His body that I might live His life in my body. I present
my life, my body, everything about me to you, Father, knowing that your
power manifested through the cross is renewing every part of me,
restoring me to wholeness, perfect soundness in every aspect of my life.
Amen!
Good morning, how are you?
ReplyDeleteMy name is Emilio, I am a Spanish boy and I live in a town near to Madrid. I am a very interested person in knowing things so different as the culture, the way of life of the inhabitants of our planet, the fauna, the flora, and the landscapes of all the countries of the world etc. in summary, I am a person that enjoys traveling, learning and respecting people's diversity from all over the world.
I would love to travel and meet in person all the aspects above mentioned, but unfortunately as this is very expensive and my purchasing power is quite small, so I devised a way to travel with the imagination in every corner of our planet. A few years ago I started a collection of used stamps because through them, you can see pictures about fauna, flora, monuments, landscapes etc. from all the countries. As every day is more and more difficult to get stamps, some years ago I started a new collection in order to get traditional letters addressed to me in which my goal was to get at least 1 letter from each country in the world. This modest goal is feasible to reach in the most part of countries, but unfortunately, it is impossible to achieve in other various territories for several reasons, either because they are very small countries with very few population, either because they are countries at war, either because they are countries with extreme poverty or because for whatever reason the postal system is not functioning properly.
For all this, I would ask you one small favor:
Would you be so kind as to send me a letter by traditional mail from Cameroon? I understand perfectly that you think that your blog is not the appropriate place to ask this, and even, is very probably that you ignore my letter, but I would call your attention to the difficulty involved in getting a letter from that country, and also I don’t know anyone neither where to write in Cameroon in order to increase my collection. a letter for me is like a little souvenir, like if I have had visited that territory with my imagination and at same time, the arrival of the letters from a country is a sign of peace and normality and an original way to promote a country in the world. My postal address is the following one:
Emilio Fernandez Esteban
Avenida Juan de la Cierva, 44
28902 Getafe (Madrid)
Spain
If you wish, you can visit my blog www.cartasenmibuzon.blogspot.com where you can see the pictures of all the letters that I have received from whole World.
Finally, I would like to thank the attention given to this letter, and whether you can help me or not, I send my best wishes for peace, health and happiness for you, your family and all your dear beings.
Yours Sincerely
Emilio Fernandez
