Since this new year started i have committed myself to praying for the nations of the world. So many nations are facing different kinds of challenges in this time and some people are living in fear of the unknown. My nation is not an exception and i also pray for it. Where you are right now is not an accident and God knows exactly what is going on and He will keep you safe and secure in Him; He will preserve you from harm. Aside from political and natural challenges of the nations of the world, God wants the Gospel preached in all the nations of the world and He has entrusted that responsibility to His Church. We need to pray for the hearts God is preparing in these nations to receive the Gospel; for them to be hungry for the Word of Truth and to receive it with joy and celebration. We need pray that those barriers of selfishness, pride and corruption that could stand in the way of preaching the gospel be taken away and that we will not faint at rejection or resistance but that we will still stand firm to preach the Gospel. We know in whom we have believed and we know He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we could ask or think. We need to pray for the Spirit of understanding and that there will be massive conversions. We are that genenration that God is raising to reveal Himself in the person and work of His Son, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Some of our fellow brethren have left the church for several reasons while others find it hard to trust the church for reasons of manipulation and greed but we are that generation that God wants to reveal His love and faithfulness. We need to pray for these people we will be preaching the Gospel to that they may be rid of their previous misconceptions and to receive the Gospel of our Salvation in Christ Jesus; which is the revelation of the righteousness of God. Jesus Christ is the exclusive Savior of mankind and it is not dependent on our works or merit but it's freely given to us in Him. The people of this world have got to know that God loves them unconditionally, unreservedly and immeasurably. That sin is not imputed unto them because Jesus Christ paid the price fully and now they have face to face access to the Father in Him. There are nations where Christians and not only discriminated upon but they are matyred for their faith and we need to pray for them. As stewards of these mysteries revealed, we have been made Ambassadors of Christ in the Ministry of Reconciliation and we need to fully represent Him before all men. We need to be conscious that we are called to preach the Gospel without commingling, or attempting to dilute it with our human wisdom but we should let the wisdom of God take it's full course; that Christ Jesus will be glorified as Lord over all. That His Lordship will be expressed in every nation of the world as the exclusive Saviour of mankind and He is a God who loves. We need to pray for the peace of God to invade the nations of the world and that there will be peace amongst all men.
Now, let me share with you how i will like us all to pray for the nations of the world. Firstly, i pray for every nation that views the blog and not only the nations but the individuals especially. Apart from that i let the Holy Spirit lead me to pray for a nation during my time of prayer. I want to encourage each one of us to pray in Tongues for our nations for atleast 30minutes and to let the Holy Spirit reveal to us a nation to pray for. It's a wonderful exercise i trust that the Holy Spirit will reveal so much more to us in this time. Together let us declare the Lordship of Jesus Christ in all the legal, administrative, judicial, financial etc authorities of our nations. Let us declare the victory of Christ in His church and that as His sons we will not be treated as inferior (for our faith) but that we will reign in every area of life. Jesus is Lord in all the Nations of the world. Amen
