YOU ARE SPECIAL TO GOD

Yesterday while I was in church I was distracted for a few seconds from the preaching because of a thought that came to my mind. The thought was about me wanting to be treated specially and I must confess I was thinking of a man. The Holy Spirit immediately countered that thought by revealing the love of God to me. Two years ago, on a faithful night I went to bed very discouraged and depressed and while sleeping I heard very beautiful music coming from somewhere. My spirit discerned it was a harp. I know, David ,before he became king used to play the harp for Saul to sleep. The harp was thus a royal instrument played for Kings. That night the music of the harp took away my depression, fear, anxiety, discouragement etc and because I wanted to see the person playing such beautiful music, I woke up from sleep. It was not a vision I was hearing the music of love played by Angels playing in the presence of the Father. That is how much God loves His own and you may not have heard it but it's what He does when we're down and He does a lot more to ease us of our anxieties, hurts and fears.
Come to think of it, the Father sent His only begotten  Son to take on the form of man. He took on all the conditions of our fallen nature, our sins, weaknesses, fears, anxieties, poverty etc and He was crucified with them on the cross in our place and for our benefit. On that cross everything that was designed to torment us was crucified with in Him. At His resurrection, He became the first born from the dead bringing forth a new kind of man; the new creation whose origin is traceable to God Himself ( 2 Corinthians 5:14-17,21). He ascended on High with us in Him and sat down at the right hand of the Father with us and as us. This is not all He makes intercession for us as our eternal faithful High Priest. Now that we are in Christ as sons in Him, the Father values us as much as He values Jesus. He has freely bestowed the blessings of heaven to us in Christ. We are co-heirs with Christ and we have been made partakers of the Divine life. Our salvation is an all-inclusive salvation; we are safe, fully provided for, saved from sin and death. It is as eternal as our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We have been made righteous, we are sanctified, justified, chosen, adopted, regenerated by the Gospel. The Father personally planned our lives and He foreordained and called us to belong to Him in Christ. No matter how tough life gets, all things are working for our good. Now, if God be for us, who can be against us? Through our union with Christ, we are forever in the presence of the Father and we have received full access to Him. In His mercy, He can never leave nor forsake us we in truth there is nothing that can separate us from His love ( Romans 8:31-38, 1 John 3:19, 5:20). The Holy Spirit of God lives in us and He cries Abba Father in amazement of the Father's love for us. He lives in us helping us to pray the will of the Father, He reveals to us what we have freely received in Christ, He rejoices in us and leads us to a state of resting in the Father's love.
Brethren in Christ, let no man deceive you that God does not love you or He doesn't care about you. In the riches of His goodness He provides for our every need and keeps us safe from harm. Everything He has done for us is not dependent on our performance or merit. It is out of the abundance of love He has for us. We have never and will never be alone for He has set us before His eyes and is gazing at us with His love, leading us to paths of fruitfulness in Him. We are His offspring; in Him we live and move and have our being. We are beyond condemnation and shame (Romans 8:1-2, Galatians 2:20, 1 John 4:15, Acts 17:28). To have God's life means we're royalty of an exclusively high class; the God class. It's so easy to under estimate the depth of God's love and take it for granted but they are true. The way God treats us, I don't believe any human can make us feel this special. He was ready to stoop as low as becoming man in order to elevate man to His position and He still remains God. He has freely given us all things along with His Son Jesus Christ and Jesus is not ashamed to call us 'brethren' (Romans 8:32, Colossians 2:9-10, 3:3). He is willing at all times to give us anything we ask because we are His sons. Take your mind off your temporary needs and the eyes of your understanding will be opened to behold the beauty of God's love. You are special to God and it is your current state.

You are Blessed!
