Have
you ever wondered why you were born in this time not before now or do you ever
wonder why your parents are your parents and your siblings your siblings? Ever
looked at yourself and wonder why you have your face, race, body size and
smile? From what I know, God who is our Eternal Father and creator purposed in
Himself all that we are as we are. You don’t need to be someone else to be used
by God. Nope! He wanted you to be you so that He will use you to reach many
people with the message of His love.
There is no
greater purpose than this to any believer and so with every given day, try as
much as you can to reach someone with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The people we
need to reach out to are not in the church they are in so many different
places; in the streets, where we work, hospitals, prisons etc. They are just
about everywhere we find ourselves and so we are not called to sit on the pews and
be pretty shouting ‘Amen’ and yet doing nothing to spread the Gospel of Jesus
Christ. Sometimes we get so consumed by
the things around us; life, marriage, work, children etc that we even forget we
are born again. I’ve been there and from time to time I still find myself
there. Yes, some days I get so consumed by my job to the extent that even when I try to meditate I forget what I read in the
devotional that same morning.
One thing is
certain amidst all this, we are called by God to fulfill His Eternal purpose in
His Son Jesus Christ. It’s not by our might but we should be intentional about
giving the things of God first place in our lives. God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself and we have been placed in Christ Jesus through adoption; thus we co-labor with Him in reconciling the world to the Father. We have no life out of Jesus
Christ, He is our only life (Colossians 3:3-4, Acts 17:28 Ephesians 1:4-6). We were
foreordained by God to be in this dispensation of His Grace and to be vessels
He will use in our generation, we should forget about our circumstances and focus on
Jesus Christ who is the Author and Finisher of faith. His Grace far exceeds what we know about Grace and when we let
Him be all that we are, we will see Him work through us to bring Glory to the
Father. Material possessions don't define how blessed we are and the
mercies of God are forever towards us. Quit seeing yourself as unworthy and
stop running around looking for what has already been freely given to you in
Christ. Stand firm in the assurance of your identity in Christ. No matter what
you’re facing rest in God’s love for you; His love will never fail you. Always
remember that purpose is all about Christ living through you to bring glory to
the Father and a troubled soul can not fulfil purpose. You don’t choose how He will work through you, just let yourself be
available for service. You are not a mistake for God chosed you in Himself
before He created the earth and everything and placed you in His Son Jesus
Christ. You don't need to preach to thousands on a pulpit or sing in many cities before many people to show that you're fulfiling God's purpose. Anything done to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His finished works is the fulfilment of purpose and the Holy Spirit will guide you in your area of Service.
