FEELING GUILTY ABOUT YOUR PAST?

There are days when you feel like the things happening to you today are because of some things you did or didn't do in the past. There are even times when you feel like if some things didn't happen in your past, you would have been alot better today. You don't have to dwell on such thoughts because you will end up depressed. Quite alot has happened but what we have to do is to move forward with hope in what our Lord Jesus has done for us. Jesus died for all sins and he didn't select those He wanted to die for. Holding unto your past and giving it room to condemn you is denying what Jesus did for you and with you from His death on the cross, burial, resurrection on the third day, ascension and He's at the right hand of the Father for you and as you. Embrace your identity in Christ, refuse to condemn yourself (Romans 8:1). God's love for you outweighs any weakness you will ever have. He doesn't condemn you but He has called you His own, belonging to His beloved family and don't forget He is the Author of our relationship with Him (Ephesians 1:3-9). You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus which is to say you have been cleared of any sin through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians5:21, Romans 3:22).Romans 5:8... but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. We have been justified by faith in our Lord and savior Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1) when your thoughts want to condemn you regarding your past tell yourself you were bought with a price which is Jesus Christ and you have been made whole in Him. Jesus is not ashamed to call you brethren and your life is hid with Christ in God! Ephesians 2:4-5 says "But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace you have been saved". You were worth dying for because you are precious to God! 2 Corinthians 5:17Amplified Bible (AMP) puts it in the best way ever "Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life]". Dear brethren, don't let a past that no longer exist ruin what God has given to you in Christ Jesus. Everyday, make a commitment with yourself to hold onto who God says you are than who you think you are. God's opinion of you is perfect and needs no addition or subtraction. The only way to overcome condemnation of yourself is to acknowledge your identity in Christ because in Him you have peace, joy and love. In Him alone you live and move and have your being (Acts 17:28).Your only past now is the death of Jesus on the cross which gave you your new life in Him!
You're Blessed!!!
