One day, while I was praying in Tongues in a Sunday
church service, the Lord showed me a picture of a young man who looks tired and
has come to Jesus. Jesus receives him and hugs him tight which makes both of
them to smile and when the young man looks behind Jesus, he sees this
beautiful young lady holding a rose and then Jesus brings both together
with all three smiling. I pondered a lot on that picture, and I came to
understand two things. The first is that as a young man who is looking for a
wife, you will tire yourself up doing it without Jesus. Come to Him who knows
everything both visible and invisible and He will give you rest as He
introduces you to the woman who will always be by your side. As a woman who is
trusting God for a spouse, be glued to Jesus. Fix your eyes on Him alone and
forget about the things around you and He will order your steps towards the
right person. Man sees with the physical eyes but Jesus knows the end from the
beginning. Jesus knows how to blend two people whose focus is to spread the Gospel of Christ. Everyone in the Body of Christ has something to offer(1 Corinthians 12:12-31). Your purpose is not just to get married
but to serve even after marriage. We all have a role to play in the body and so
don’t tell me you don’t have a role to play. If you don’t know your purpose yet
pray and ask the Holy Spirit and He will tell you. The things we seek have
already been freely given to us by the Father in Christ Jesus and so use this
time you are single to tell people about the Love of Jesus Christ. Develop a
powerful relationship with God. Refuse to feel desperate because you are one
with Jesus and you have His ability. Develop your spirit man; get acquainted
with the Word of God.
Be hospitable and loving towards the people you meet.
Be true to yourself and free your heart of any past stories, let go of the things that make you afraid, insecure, anxious, depressed etc because you have a new life now in Christ Jesus. Restoration can only come through the life of Jesus in you. Associate with brethren that encourage
your walk with God. You attract your kind. You may think no one is watching you,
of course there are countless people watching and you will know when you find
that special someone. Never forget that the best things life can offer come
from God alone. Your main focus should be preparing to be a godly woman and a
godly man will find you. Don’t ask how it will happen because God already has
the love story carefully written out and you just need to live it. Your husband
will not be perfect in character but he will make you happy, he will partner
with you to raise kids who fear God and he will always be there to encourage you when
you become anxious about some issues of life. You are born of God and anything
that concerns you, the Father is aware of. No detail of your life is hidden
from Him or small for Him. You are loved in more ways than you can imagine by
the Father!
