Early today I stumbled on this blog Dashing Devotional and I was so blessed by the post “Desires of your heart” by Emily. This post inspired me and I believe God was using it as a means to encourage and bless my heart. Too often we get so worried about things that God has already given to us. Ephesians 1:3 says we are blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (paraphrased) and the Bible further says fix your eyes on Jesus who is the Author and Finisher of faith. Yes, when we start searching for the things that we see to fulfill us, we discover that we are hurt by even the least thing. Delight yourself in the Lord and He will grant you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4, paraphrased), your desires were put inside of you by Your maker and so do you think He will want to cut it off short? I guess not! The systems of this world can never ever limit you from becoming who God has called you to be, greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. You are born of God in Christ Jesus. It’s automatic that you have favor, success, peace, victory, joy unspeakable etc His grace is at work in you .
Many times
unmarried girls get so worried about whom they will marry and Christian girls
too join them. God foreordained you from the foundation of the earth to exist in life that you migh have free access to all that He has given to you in Him. When you worry, it's
either you want to go ahead of God by choosing for yourself the kind of man you think
you want, it’s up to you but always remember that God’s best far exceeds what
you can get for yourself. God knows the end from the beginning and God’s
priority and pride is in your happiness. God knows that when you are happy He
is happy too and so why would He not make you happy? Beloved brethren, God is
the Author of love and know that no man can ever love you more than Our Abba
because He loved us even when we didn’t want anything to do with Him (John
4:19). Forget about who you will marry and delight yourself in God. Benefit rather in this time when you're trusting God for a spouse to grow in intimacy with Him. You won't feel empty or lonely because you are complete in Him.
Dear one,
I encourage you to forget your worries and focus more on knowing who you are in Christ. With a stable relationship with God you with see with the eyes of your understanding more than with physical eyes. Forget about age they are just numbers, develop a high level
of intimacy with God and know that He’s doing the same with your future mate.
Pray for your future mate, praise God for his/her life
and know that all things are working for your good. You are not limited in any way by anything. God calls you blessed, favored, loved, graced and these you are. Your attitude everyday should be one of celebration,
praise; love for your God has given you everything you need in life in Christ
Jesus alone.
