Because Joseph worked for Potiphar his
household experienced remarkable increase in everything he had both at home and
in the field. And Potiphar knew right away that it was because of Joseph but
Joseph has to go somewhere else and spread the glory he carried and Potiphar’s
wife now comes in to send him to prison just so he can make use of his gift of
dream interpretation. Even the prison warden saw the hand of God on Joseph’s life
(Genesis 39:21-23). When he interpreted the dreams of the king’s baker and
butler and everything came to pass accordingly it was time for him to meet the
king and thus he ended up as the prime minister of Egypt (Genesis 40 &41).
Everything was neatly put together by God Himself and His hand was always upon
Joseph’s life even in times of trial Joseph found favour before everyone that
came his way. One thing is certain, these people didn’t look at Joseph’s
countenance they saw the Spirit of the living God in him, that is why they
could trust him with everything they had and were given charge over. When
Melchizedek visited Abraham, Abraham saw the Spirit of God in him and he
received a promise of a son which came to pass.
When Moses as a baby was put in a basket
and kept at the river banks, it was for a purpose; it was first of all to save
his life and then to open his eyes to the plight of the Israelites. When God
called him to set the Israelites free from the bondage of slavery only then did
Moses understand that God had called him for a time as this (Exodus 2 & 3).
Our lives are well knit out by our Abba to suit His purpose for our lives and
never curse in times of trials because he promised to bring you to an expected
end.
God wanted His name to be glorified
through the keeper of the prison where Paul and Silas were locked up and so He
put a song of praise and words of prayers in their hearts. They sang and prayed
and all the doors were opened but because Paul and Silas didn’t escape
alongside the other prisoners, the warden Believed in Jesus as well his entire household
(Acts 16: 23-33).
Acts 8: 26-40 tells us Philips
experience with the Ethiopian eunuch. God specifically instructed him to go
toward the South towards Jerusalem but near Gaza a desert region and when he
obeyed; there he found an Ethiopian eunuch of high authority reading the book
of Isaiah. The Spirit instructed Philip to go near which he did and realized
the man could not understand what he was reading from the book. And so Philip
preached Jesus to him which he believed and got baptized in a nearby river and
went away rejoicing even though Philip had disappeared right after the baptism.
Because we are one in the Body of Christ
and Jesus is the head, God brings us divine connections to show forth His
power, glory and grace in the lives of those we meet. Whoever you meet even if
it’s just for a short while, make them see Christ in your smile, love and care
and if possible your words should speak tons of who you are in Christ because
that person was sent by God to you. You may be sowing a seed in their lives by those
little gestures which will reap tons of fruits. Wherever you find yourself dear
brethren, sow seeds of love, peace, kindness, patience, joy etc and see how God
uses it for His glory. The steps of the righteous are ordered by the Lord and
God’s take delight in his ways (paraphrased) Psalm 37:23.
Be Blessed in Jesus name!!!
