TRAIN YOUR SPIRIT TO BE SENSITIVE TO GOD'S VOICE

This morning as i was reading my daily devotional, the Spirit of God was opening the eyes of my understanding to many wonderful truths on heariing God's voice. It's no secret that every believer in Christ desires to hear God's voice. Some people may expect to hear a loud thunderous voice but not to disappoint you, the voice of the Holy Spirit is a still small voice. He testifies of Jesus Christ and He will lead us into all truth telling us everything the Father desires to tell us (John 16:13-15). To hear from God we have to first and foremost let His Word dwell richly in our hearts (Colossians 3:16) The Word of God for a fact is unchanging, immutable and unfailing. Jesus Christ is the Word of God remember and to know Him you have to be totally committed to studying the Bible especially the Epistles of the Apostle Paul and the other apostles who bear testimony of His person and finished works. In studying the Epistles pay close attention to where the risen Saviour of mankind Jesus Christ is spoken of and what is said of Him and in the four Gospels where He speaks of Himself and of the Father. Give yourself wholly to the Word and that way the Holy Spirt will minister to your innerman the things He hears from the Father bearing witness with your spirit that you are a son of God in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:14-15). If God has to communicate to your innerman it will first of all come through His Word and so, when it gains ascendancy over your faculties and mode of perception will be able to discern what God is saying to you in a given season. When He does, His peace will fill your heart.

Another way we can train our innerman to hear God's voice is through speaking in Tongues. When the Holy Spirit came to dwell in us, He came with the Heavenly language and so the more we pray in the Holy Ghost the more our spirits are attuned to receive what the Father is communicating to us (1 Corinthians 14:2). It's always advisable to worship before speaking in Tongues that way your vision is clear and you can place your focus on  the all-sufficiency of Christ; His person and finished works. When you pray in Tongues it's another praying the will of the Father through you. You have the mind of Christ and so He is the One praying through your spirit man. If you see a vision of hear a word, note it down or continue praying and more will be revealed to you the Spirit of God. If there is a day you're faced with a decision to make or a challenge, pray in Tongues and the Spirit of God will lead you in the right path. You are born of God and you have the life of the Son in you. You are of the Truth (1 John 4:4, 5: 13-15 and 19-20:. The Apostle Paul himself said he speaks in Tongues more than anyone because it's a beautiful way to communicate and receive information by the Spirit of God.

The Minister of Gospel is another very important channel that  the Father uses to communicate to us. When the Minister is teaching us either during a church service or another means , He is communicating the mind of God. He has been chosen to represent God to the church at that time and we thus have to give heed. Mind you that a minister communicating the mind of God to the Church of Jesus Christ does not make himself seen but Christ in all His perfection and beauty is all that you see. It's important to leave a christian meeting with Christ exalted and His Lordship being all that you see and not otherwise, that way you know the mind of the Father was communicated to you. Even Jesus said be careful what you hear and how you hear it and so it's through the Holy spirit that you can discern what the Minister is saying.

It's no secret that every believer in Christ desires to hear God's voice but be careful because therr may be preconceived notions we have as well as misconceptions we have harbored that serve as a barrier to hear God's voice. Our understanding of sin, condemnation and the judegement of God is very important because if all see when you read the Bible then you just might not be hearing the Voice of god. God is so in love with mankind that Jesus Christ is the only means by which he can reveal his love for us. If there is one thing we must know about God is that He is love, He has sanctified us, He has included us in his beloved family. He is concerned about everything that concerns us; not only collectively but individually. He has sworn to Himself to never abadon us and has placed us in his Son Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the surety of our Salvation. We have eternal life in Him and we are justified by faith in Him. he has been made unto us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption. We have been made free from curse and sin Christ. At the cross, Jesus dealt completely with sin and death and purged us of sin forever. His peace and joy has been made available to us through our union with Him.  The Father is pleased to reveal His mysteries to us and so to avoid mixing it we need to build ourselves by Studying the Word and Praying in the Holy Ghosht. The more we are conscious of all that Jesus wrought for us in His incarnation and atonement, we are daily training our faculties to the realities of our new identity in Christ. (Hebrews 1:1-3, Romans 8:1, 2 Peter 3-14, Colossians 3:3-4, Ephesians 1:3-10). If we speak in Tongues for atleast 30 minutes daily before or after we study our Bibles and other books that reveal the person and finished worl of Christ, nothing will be impossible for us.
